I just updated my book review blog with a post discussing character focus in novels and other forms of media. It's here, and I'd be really happy if you guys on my friends list who are into books, reading, and writing checked it out. This is a topic I think of a lot when it comes to reading and writing, so I'd be interested in comments.

Stop! Sporking time! )

In celebration of GSDS, I've finally finished sporking the next chapter of Adrift In Despair! The story's title is very apt; that's what I felt like whenever I contemplated this fic.

Chapter Eight is sporked! )

Watermelon-Flavored Sigmund Freud Head Lollipops. What the heck. Also comes in Abe Lincoln, Marie Antoinette, William Shakespeare, and Vladimir Lenin. That site is awesome.

Sporking of Chapter Six of Adrift In Despair Behind the Cut )

How's that, folks? Dang, I completely skipped this chapter at first. I went straight from five to seven, and I had to come back to this one. But that means chapter seven will be along very soon. ^_^ I hope this chapter is funny. I feel like the last couple chapters were more me raging at the stupidity of this story, but I think this chapter and seven both have more funny stuff in them.

I've read twenty-five books this month!

It looked like it would be a close call for a while there, but shorter novels saved the day. I'm so glad to have those out of the way, though. Now it's time for longer novels again. Ender's Shadow, Howl's Moving Castle, The Shadow of the Wind, and To Say Nothing of the Dog are all tentatively on the schedule for July. If you like to read, please check out my blog and let me know what you think! Maybe you'll learn of a book that you will end up really liking. ^_^

Isaac's Mom Has Got It Going On, a Laundryshipping fic. Read and be weirded out, yo! This has been sitting on my hard drive for so long that I finally just posted it to be done with it. ^_^; On another note, lol, I had previously created an LJ tag for this fic. Odd.

Continued from this entry...

Kendra slipped her badge into her own pocket. "That was a super awesome battle, Brock. What's the next gym we should head to now?"

"Most trainers usually head to Cerulean City," said Brock. "There's a gym there that specializes in Water-type Pokemon. It's just past Mt. Moon, to the east."

"Thanks," Kendra said. She turned to Blake. "What do you think? We can grab some sleep and then head that way tomorrow unless you have another idea."

"Nah, that all sounds good to me," Blake replied. "Type advantage for you and a neutral ground for me. Sounds like good stuff."

Brock arched an eyebrow. "That's going to get rough soon. Type advantages will only get you so far. But, then again, you're a well-matched team. Ignore me."

"We should get moving though," Blake conceded. "Thanks for the badges and experience, Brock. It's been a pleasure."

"Have fun," Brock said, saluting.

Well, yinz know those little book reviews I've been posting for the past month or two? Now you can find them all at BlookityBlook, my new book review blog. I've already posted a review for Atonement. From now on, check BlookityBlook if you're interested in what I've been reading. I plan to tackle at least a hundred books this summer, so there will be plenty to check out. I'd totally love it if people gave this a read and told people and stuff. Well, we'll see what works out. ^_^
